With courage as a last name, expectations are high. Therefore, Lars also prefers to work with brands that have courage. Fortunately, Jak & Oil owners Wilfred and Vera possess quite a bit of courage. Coming up with a product that does not yet exist is quite a gamble ;).
Good. Back to Lars. When, in his eyes, is a work of art successful? ‘’A creation has to have something tough. Something like f*ck! What was that? What am I seeing? There has to be simplicity in it, but it can also have something quirky. Something has to happen. A work of art should make people think and get them moving.’’
As far as Lars is concerned, a design is successful if you can draw it with a stick in the sand. So simple, so strong.

In the urban landscapes of our cities, we often encounter the same scene: functional but uninspiring playgrounds.
From November 15 to 17, we were at the Recreation Trade Fair in Hardenberg. Here we saw ‘The Jak’ shining in the flesh for the first time. What a great experience!
